400000 tons of copper concentrate export quota! Issued by Indonesia!

On Thursday, October 30th, local media reported citing officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Energy that Indonesia has granted an export quota of 400000 tons of copper concentrate to Amman Mineral Internal, valid for six months.

Indonesia will ban the export of copper concentrate and other raw minerals from mid-2023 to promote the development of the domestic metal processing industry.

Despite the commissioning of a new smelter in West Nusa Tenggara province, the Indonesian government has allowed Amman Mining to continue exporting until December 2024.

However, Amman Mining stated that due to damage to some of its facilities, it has temporarily suspended the operation of the facility this year and applied for another export license from the Indonesian government.

According to data released by Amman Mining, its copper concentrate production from January to September this year was 310143 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 51%; During this period, the company produced 41052 tons of cathode copper and sold 39805 tons.
